Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Purchasing Intern to support our procurement operations. This role provides hands-on experience in documentation of purchasing activities and vendor communication. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the purchasing team in documenting purchases.
- Enter purchase orders, update supplier data, and process sales confirmations.
- Help maintain accurate records.
- Communicate with carriers and internal teams.
- Support special projects and reports as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with data entry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Interest in the food distribution and transportation industry.
- Position would be in office, based out of Irvine, CA.
