About the Internship:

Are you a student developer passionate about building applications at lightning speed? Do you want to launch your career with real-world experience and public recognition? Patriot Conceptions is seeking a motivated and talented Application Developer Intern to join our team and contribute to building innovative solutions for our agency.

In this "Lightning Speed Builder" internship, you will be a key player in developing and maintaining applications that directly support our mission. You will gain hands-on experience with modern technologies and have the unique opportunity to "build in public," showcasing your skills and projects to a wide audience. We will highlight your contributions through blog posts, project demos, and social media features, significantly boosting your professional profile and portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and test web and/or mobile applications.
• Contribute to frontend and/or backend development based on project needs and your skillset.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes.
• Document your development journey and project progress in a "build in public" format (blog posts, demos, etc.).
• Present your work and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field at UC Irvine (preferred).
• Passion for software development and building impactful applications.
• Solid understanding of programming fundamentals and software development principles.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following technologies is a plus: JavaScript, Python, React, Next.js, Flutter, Firebase, Cloudflare, GCP, Railway, bolt.new, windsurf.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in "building in public" and showcasing your work.
